Our ideas turn into projects when enough people, give up their time, share their skills, jump into action and make them happen. At present we have a ruck of ideas and plenty of scope for people of action to be part of making them a reality. If you have a preferred idea and want to be part of making it happen get in touch with us through our contacts page.
Hidden Gems
We all know the best place to get certain things in town. We want to explore ways of sharing info to help the local economy and those who live here.
Cycle And Forage
A bike ride with stops to forage wild food.
There's foraging available in most seasons:
Spring: a chance for fresh greens; plants are after capitalising on the increasing light, by spreading their leaves and trying to shade their neighbours. Pests are few, so tough leaves and strong flavours aren't needed.
Summer: gardeners are weeding, many weeds are cookable. Some are great for drying for tea or flavouring. Early berries.
Autumn: fruits and nuts.
Winter: seeds for sowing on your own plot; can be much easier and legal than digging roots of burdock. Dahlia and Canna roots.

Transition Streets
In Transition communities create change. We hope more groups of neighbours will start working together to create positive changes and save money (by reducing household bills and sharing more). It's an exciting way to experience change and feel empowered in a society that too often leaves us feeling isolated and powerless to make a difference.
Ramble Town
A ramble but through town. Simple.
We have two trained forest schools providers in the group. They don't need woodland - just outdoors, in contact with nature. They're great for children of all abilities.
CO2 Arena
We love films, we ran a film day in August 2019 with "The Age of Stupid", "Heading for Extinction, what do we do about it", "Tomorrow" and "Being the Change". We would like to run another cinema event in the future. We have researched a number of films thus far. By research we mean sitting comfortably on the sofa eating pop corn and watching. Films watched so far and a list ones you could watch and review for possible group showing below.
In The Event Of A Zombie Apocalypse
Based on the "Fun" idea of a zombie apocalypse the idea is to work with kids to explore sustainable ways of living. So in the event of a zombie apocalypse bake bread, fix your own clothes, bike car, self defend yourself. The list goes on.
