Transition Northwich is a local group who want to make Northwich a better place for everyone.
We want to inspire, encourage, connect, support and train communities as they self-organise around the Transition model.
This model encourages people and organisations to work towards a more sustainable way of living such as reducing their dependence on fossil fuels, building community and economic resilience to environmental change and reducing CO2 emissions. Also creating a healthy thriving community who enjoy a good life and protect the planet for future generations.
Northwich Transition is part of a wider UK and international transition network that provides support and advice to local areas including other local towns and villages such as Frodsham, Kingsley, Wilmslow, Macclesfield, Chester and Congleton. Our town is already an exciting place to live, with a vibrant arts and cultural scene, a rich industrial heritage and waterways network.
The Network does not aim to re-invent the wide range of activities that already take place in the town, rather it’s about creating a healthy human culture, one that meets our needs for community, livelihoods and fun.
We aim to spend as little as possible and rely on kind donations of time to get things done. Unfortunately, there are a few things which we can't get for free. Your donation is a great help in funding our basic running costs. Donate now and we will be able to benefit from gift aid too.
