Transition is a global movement - in communities around the world, local people are coming together to tackle these environmental problems. People are working together to make positive changes to help solve these challenging problems.
Transition Northwich was set up by a group of residents in 2015. Since then, it has grown and now has 1000 followers and an orchard and a community garden.

What's happening in Northwich?
We host talks and information events in Northwich. We provide art & craft workshops and have a lot of fun! You can join us in our community garden and orchard.
Everyone is welcome - we can all help in lots of different ways.

Sustrans’ Big Walk and Wheel – schools challenge
Each year around the same time, Sustrans (the cycling and walking charity) runs this promotion.
In 2024 it's 11-22 March
All schools in the UK can take part in Sustrans Big Walk and Wheel, it is free to register and easy to participate.
Once registered you will have access to a school login where you can log your journeys on each day of the challenge and track how your school is doing. You can even compete with your neighbouring schools.
Free “fun, flexible, and informative” resources available include:
